In this latest article exploring some of the many artifacts that have surrounded Tottenham over the years we Starting with this cockerel which the club presented to Keflavic FC of Iceland when we met them in the UEFA Cup 1971/72. Which remains as our biggest victory in European football. Below Left - The sign that use to hang outside the Clubs Pools development office which stood in what became Bill Nicholson Way and later became the Ticket Office. Right - From the 70's the Turnstile Counter. With payment in cash on the day the control office could monitor how many people were entering each section of the ground. Below some of the many medals associated with the club. Top Left and working clockwise. Maurice Normans Double medals. Jimmy Seed's Cup medal from 1921. A Cup winners medal from 1967. Sandy Tait's 1901 Cup winners medal. Not sure we can fit a wall in but this was in 1968 - in Manchester, and not a bad Spurs side, Gilzean, Chivers and Greaves not to mention Jones , lots of goals. To the right - Signed by Arthur Turner, access to the Directors Tea Room. In case your wondering it was Aston Villa and a 2-2 draw. A letter sent by Spurs to Everton in 1965. The content is quite clear which for those of us who were at the Lane around that time will tell you is much more than the PA System was. Below Left - A silk scarf from the 1950's which were presented to the players wives. This one comes from Eddie Baily's family and has been signed by the players. Below Right - The players notes issued by the club from the 1966 and 1968 seasons.
