Over the period of the season just ended we used the handle ‘101 objects’ to let me include various artifacts in different TT. Although this device, or as Alfred Hitchcock would call it a Magaffin, works to an extent but a number of the items are not over exciting in themselves. However if I was to bang on your door and offer them to you, you would snatch my hand off. Anyway whilst you count the days until the boys are back you may like a little wander through this collection at some of the treasures in the clubs history. Now if your excuse me there is someone at the door. I should state none of these items are mine. Starting with number 2 on the ‘101 objects’ list the ‘Bill Nicholson gates’ that stand at the entrance to the club. In case your wondering number 1 is of course the cockerel and we explored his history recently in Hotspur Towers (l). |
