Another collection of art work featuring Spurs from across the years. From the serious to frivolous. Again I've given (what little) detail I have on these and if you can shed any further light please do so. First up is Harry Kane at the Euros when England put him on corner duty. The artist is David Squires. He does draw for the Guardian but if this is where it appeared there I cant say. Below Left - David Ginola and another from the pen of Paul Trevillion. Right - Is Jimmy Cantrell who played for Spurs and later become a professional golfer. This sign hung outside the 'Old Corner Pin' Public House in Nottingham. The artist is Will Weber, Jimmy is shown wearing his old Tottenham kit. The picture dates from 1928. Left is the work of Parfitt Payne and despite the dated appearance it is a recent piece. Payne does work about various clubs and it has featured on items sold through the club shop. Below Left - A card issued by Gallagher's cigarettes who did a lot of football series. This one depicts us playing Arsenal and appeared in 1927. Center - Is Harry Kane. Above Right - This is the work of Tottenham's Jimmy Seed. The subject matter is Arsenal's Jimmy Hulme. And if your wondering why I chose an Arsenal player he went onto become Tottenham manager after the Second Word War. Right - Evening Standard Sept 1969 by Kenneth Mahood. Below Left - WHL of course and appears to be part of the preparation work for a piece featured earlier in this series. Above Right - The Evening Standard again this time from 2002 by Patrick Blower. Left - We seem to include a Bill Nicholson each article in this series. Sorry dont know the artist. Below Left - That 'looks like' Squires again from the style Center - Jimmy Greaves Right - Paul Gascoigne. Slightly Different - These photos date from 1939 when there was a display of Spurs art hung on the old Spurs pub, Sadly I've been unable to track down examples of the pieces shown but you can see them in the pics. To end this group another 'charity signature' and this one is from the pen of Martin Chivers.
