We interrupt your serious reading for this important message. This was originally entitled the last Ad Break as I thought the series had ran its course and any further gems appearing could be slipped in elsewhere. No sooner had I planned that than a heap of ads fell in my lap. Therefore there will be a couple more 'breaks.' In the meantime this set has some faces you will know and some dating from over a hundred years ago. There are also still a few gems I've yet to track down and the search will continue. We start this time with Gary Lineker (with dad) and the family Fruit and Veg Stall in Leicester Market place. I seem to remember it use to have a 'glittery' name sign in the 80's. We have included Cliff Jones short lived butchers shop before but this time Cliff gets 'hands on.' Below we have two more from the club's shop. As well as Linx again, this time back in his Walkers Crisps series. Its the last article so maybe I can do the ' crisp finisher ' tagline! April 1965 and the local press promote our game at Coventry's old Highfield Road ground. Below - Maurice Norman - And when he wasn't at the petrol Station in Tottenham he would pop into wife Jackies Wool Shop in Norwich. For Bristol City fans wishing to travel to Spurs for the Cup tie in 1903. Spurs won with the only goal. Below Left - The great Spurs Supreme and the story of the Double season. Right - 1902 and Fanny Walden and the shop he had an interest in in Bedfordshire. Right - Lineker and more crisps. Below - A more recent ad from our energy drink suppliers. Right - The great old Frido ball (they could really fly) from the sixties. We finish with Gary again this time his Barcelona link comes its play in this one for Qatar Airways. Do you have any pictures of Cliff Jones/ Butchers shop, I moved to Tottenham in 1964 and he was my butcher, I have just moved to Oxfordshire and my now local butcher is an avid Spurs fan complete with tattoo I was telling him about Cliff Jones
