 Talking Tottenham where we concentrate on the non-footy fan side of the great World of Hotspur which serves as a little diversion from all that exciting stuff. So as we emerge from an international break I thought you might like a little selection (a sampler if you prefer) of what you may have been missing, with chunks of trivia slipped in. Don't worry Spurs are back in action soon.  'Talking' does not take itself totally seriously and neither should you. One of the great things about 'TT' is that it always sparks readers into sending in yet more pics! and stories. Good on ya, just when you think you have seen it all. What do you think of the new motor? A bit yellow for me really.  Something new this season is we are featuring stamps and this First Day Cover fits the bill from the 1981 Cup Final. One old favourite is the way we were and our heroes as young lads. Below and I don't suppose you had too much trouble identifying a nine year old Steve Perryman.  When Jimmy Greaves scored the first of his 15 hat tricks (putting him top of that chart) two came from his head. Jimmy scored a number with his headers but wasn't known for it. Talking about it later he said 'I don’t know what went wrong there’
 Another firm favourite is the old news stories, OK they tend to appear more in the Planet Spurs series but. I like the way they show us how footy has changed over the years, or more often, hasn't. This is a report from the FA's AGM 1901  You will remember I asked about Gnomes (particularly looking like Alan Sugar and Jurgen Klinsmann) well they have not appeared but a number of other Gnomes arrived included this rather lovely group. Josef Jelinek who scored the Dukla Prague goal when they played at WHL in the European Cup later married Phil Beals cousin.
  Another Talking Tottenham that I tried last year and wondered how it would go was Cover Story. Not to worry again people responded - If you have any (especially newer and non footy publications).
