Talking Tottenham - Covering The Spurs

Another midweek sidestep to ease the gap between games and a few more magazines that have featured the Tottenham boys in various forms. This time we start with Dele and friend on 442 magazine.

This time around we will be examining how the club has reported itself in various guises in print.

Next however is former manager Gerry Francis on Look-in a TV publication for kids. Not a great likeness.

The Lilywhite was the Supporters club paper and was later merged into Team with the club.

Here we find Bill Brown (Oct 59) Cyril Knowles (Apr 67) and Danny Blanchflower (Mar 57) all in off-duty mode.

The club's magazine has also appeared as Spurs Monthly and Hotspur.

But first Another Radio Times and this one features Gareth Bale from last year.

Spurs Monthly - Some examples including Christian Gross and his famous ticket to Dreams. Toda, Our Japanese international, a very young Jermain Defoe. And Sol Campbell who in his interview tells us why he is so committed to Tottenham!

Football Monthly another of the great old titles and here (Sept 79) we find Ossie Ardiles.

Sport paper from August 1949 gets the season underway in the year we ran away with the Second Division title. 

Next to the beloved - Spurs News which came in newspaper format and I well remember grabbing it from the postman's hand.

Peter Taylor made the cover of Shoot in December 1978.

Below September 1955, and Spurs won a bidding battle to sign Danny Blanchflower. Here in World Sports magazine he tells his story. £30,000 to sign one of the top players in the country, what is the game coming to?
