Talking Tottenham where we tend to look at the not footy, fan stuff, side of the World of Hotspur from time to time as a diversion away from the serious side of the game, with a little trivia slipped into the mix. One of the fun bits of TT is that they always provoke you into sending in more pics! Anyway what do you think of the new wheels? I know I said no more tattoo's but then this appears. Just why Deli has Flintstone's BamBam on his arm I cant tell you. Personal note BamBam was never good enough for Pebbles anyway. Two pics from readers - the first a fledgling Cockerel taking shape. Right - This arrived after the House and Garden TT's earlier this summer. During the summer we featured Hotspur's from greyhounds to ironmonger shops to trains, boats and today, planes. Well Gliders- This troop carrying craft 'The Hotspur' was used in World War 2. Above two more pics from readers, I've seen left before and should have been included in our sea vessels collection. I did include cushions in the home edition but this one above would fit right in. Left - And what would TT be without yet another cake, brilliant. Cliff Jones on Dave Mackay - His voice could cut through the roar of the crowd as effectively as the wail of bagpipes. His advice isn’t always polite - but its always straight to the point. Did you know Alan Mullery considered becoming a priest before he took up football. That at played cricket at Lords, Boxed for his local club and his first game at WHL was for London Schools V Manchester. Bill Nicholson once said ‘Football is simple, its the players that make it difficult.’ The new season is about to launch so I hope you all have your league ladders ready, an essential must have when I was growing up, I chose this one from a number of pics as clearly this is where we looking to finish. Back on 28th February 1936 a dispute between the Football League and the pools promoters led to the fixture list being scrapped. Home teams would be known but the away team would only be announced two days before the game. The issue was resolved with a couple of weeks. New this season, stamps. Various stamps have been issued around the world featuring Spurs and I will try and slip some in as we proceed. Many thanks to everyone who drops me a note keep up the good work. Steve Perryman on the Spurs fans - I found them hard but fair I felt they gave me power, at times they were a harsh audience to play in front of but if they knew you were trying they responded brilliantly. And now back to the serious footy. COYS Keith Harrison. t- Keith 16024542 f - https://www.facebook.com/keith.harrison.9659 My profile / archive is @ - View Full Bio
