Gareth Bale one of a long line of Welsh Wizards to have played for Tottenham.

Currently one of the most famous footballers in the world. He was a Spurs player for six seasons and we take look back at his "Tottenham years" in his incredible career to date.

Signing for Spurs in 2007 from Southampton he played his first game for Spurs in a friendly against St. Patrick's Athletic on 12 July 2007.

He would go on to play 203 games for Tottenham scoring 55 times.
Not bad for someone who started out as a full back.

Before joining us he had been selected to play for Wales and on 27th May 2006 made his debut V Trinidad and Tobago in a friendly match.

He earned a reputation early on at Spurs for being a 'bit of a Jonah.' As he appeared in 25 games - 1,533 minutes play before he ended up on the winning side for Spurs.

Then on 26th September 2009 with Spurs winning 5-0 at home to Burnley he came on as a late substitute.

He was eligible to play for England through his grandmother, when asked why he chose Wales he explained "It is an honour to play for Wales, nobody ever got in touch with me personally from England, only through my agent."

At the time of writing he has 66 international caps and has scored 26 goals for his country.
