Gallery - European Action
Gallery where we draw together a series of linked photo's from across the years celebrating various aspects of Tottenham's history. Some you will know, some hopefully will be new to you. This time around we look back at Spurs in European action.
Starting with Eric Dier V Dortmurd.
Jimmy Greaves is next in the Benfica game in 1962 which we lost due to several goals being ruled out.
As this shot from Jimmy was, he doesn't look offside from this angle.
This one came to me a short while back from a reader in Greece. Its the Olympiakos game in 1972, (many thanks).
We lost this second round away game but won the tie over the two legs, tie in the UEFA cup on our way to the semi final that season.
Gary Lineker shoots at home to Porto.
He hit two that night and Gordon Durie one in a 3-1 win in the first leg and helped us through to the next round.
1984 and Chris Houghton takes on the Anderlecht forwards.
1982 and Garth Crooks gets a header in against the Barcelona side.
The Cup Winners Cup semi final first leg ended 1-1 as the visitors that night showed the less beautiful side of the game.
Van Der Vaart chased by Peter Crouch in the game Inter Milan after scoring in the Champions League game.
As we turned the tie around in the second leg at WHL.

Perryman number 8, Chivers and Peters are about to join him.
Arms aloft again this time Bobby Smith scores V Manchester United in 1963.
Wolves away in May 1972 as Chivers takes flight in the first leg of the UEFA Cup final.
How it all began Gornik at WHL in 1961 and Spurs win the game 8-1.
Bobby Smith has just scored our fifth and Terry Dyson is on hand to celebrate.
