 In the 'Gallery' where we draw together a series of related images this time as we enter the festive period this set looks back at St Georges Day 1921. Drawn from newsreels and newspapers and coming from a private collection I was granted access to (1). I'm sure you find these interesting as we look back at when Tottenham became the first London club in 20 years to win the FA Cup since we had won it in 1901. Top - one of the newsreel cameramen on top of a London taxi.  Right - Skipper of Spurs and England Arthur Grimsdell tossing up. Below right- the Spurs fans get in the mood and right entering Stamford Bridge. Details of that glorious era was told in the 'Roaring 20's ' mini series, (2).
 Left - London Underground straining to ensure the fans reach the game. Below the Spurs emerge for kick off. Note the position of the Cockerel on goalkeeper Hunters jersey.
 Some images of the game in progress. Below - The crowd of 72,805 contained the Australian Cricket team which had arrived in London several days earlier and a number of my relatives (no you cant see them here!) Below right - Jimmy Dimmock takes on the Wolves defence.
 Fans climb on top of the advertising hoardings to gain a better view. Below left - action from the Spurs goalmouth. right - a break in play and the state of the pitch from the heavy rain.
 Left - Jimmy Dimmock on the right of picture is cutting through the Wolves defence just before he scores the only goal of the game. Below left - newsreels catch the moment Spurs score. and right - at the final whistle.
