As we see out the old year and ring in the new over a Spurs-less weekend a change of pace again. Some people enjoyed the 'olde' football pictures I used at different times so I felt you might like to take a moment and cast your eye over some old pics from the photo labyrinth in this "Every Picture" special. Only one has a Spurs link but I think your enjoy the set. Top and the FA in the 1950's used this device in order to deliver an accurate cross in training. Whilst Right this device was for practicing defending corners. Our school had something similar, we called him Bob. Below Left - Its grim up north, Halifax 1933. Right - Halifax again, and ice skating on the pitch, ?year. This pic came my way and was labelled football factory 1950. Which is believable. It then had in brackets (Brazil), not convinced about that looking at the lad. Below left - inserting the laces on a ball in 1922. Anyone remembering heading those laces in the wet will understand why this bloke most likely didn't have any friends. Above right - An Edwardian football boot factory, the caption says, again I think this is a bit latter than that. Left - 1905 and a machine for making the boot studs. Below left - A pitch roller - 1922 style - ground unknown. right - This is Selhurst Park. Finally - Old Father time is about to uncover the Cockerel and discover what the fates have in store for Spurs at the start of the 1936-7 season, (we finished 10th). This is the programme from the pre-season open trial game, OK slightly cheating on New Years Eve. It just leaves me to thank everyone again for their support during the last year and wish you all a wonderful (cup filled) New Year. Football is totally different in the past. I think it was more fun. Many new rules have been implemented it changed the whole system with the said sport. But still, I know that football is a good sport with a very exciting setting. That's why many fans are still hooked to it. I may not be the biggest fan, but I always see to it that I am always updated with the latest happenings in this sport. I am sure I am not the only one!
