Every Picture returns (by popular demand) where we dig out various images relating to Spurs over the years which are well worth another look. This time they all come from the Seventies. It doesn't matter if you remember that time or you are relying on your grandparents to tell you about it, I hope your enjoy this collection and a touch of trivia. Top - Scot Alfie Conn here V Chelsea in 1975. Right - Ralph Coates gets a shot away at Liverpool. The goalie is future Spur Ray Clemence. Below - Pat Jennings receives treatment after hitting the post (possibly V Chelsea). And here is what Pat had to say about Jimmy Greaves. - For me, Jimmy was the greatest, the best goalscorer ever. No-one put the ball in the net like him. Not only did he score goals, he made them as well, from all angles. Jim just passed the ball into the net, never lashed it. He was brilliant to me in the early days. I probably cost him his bonus money in games no end of times but he’d come into the dressing room and say ‘keep going son, you’re going to be the best’ and I appreciated that when I needed it most.” Some of the biggest names in our history were involved during the decade. Above - a young Glenn Hoddle. Next to him - Bill Nicholson with the League Cup which we won in 71 & 73. Right - Alan Mullery playing against Leeds. Below left - Mike England V AC Milan 1972 at the Lane UEFA CUP. Right - Alan Gilzean V Middlesborough in League Cup. Above Big Chiv, Martin Chivers V Arsenal under The Lanes lights. 1971 Left - Jimmy Greaves here for England V Bulgaria. Below left - The other G man Gilzean this time V Bradford City in the League Cup. Right - Chivers again, this time in European action V Rapid Bucharest The never stop running of Phil Beal as he chases down Derby County. Steve Perryman on Pat Jennings - he was always known as Mr Quiet but he could still make himself heard in front of 50,000 people if he wanted to get his message across. Below - Pat Van der Hawe. A typical timid tackle from him. COYS Keith Harrison. t- Keith 16024542 f- https://www.facebook.com/keith.harrison.9659 My profile / archive is @ - View Full Bio
