Martin Cloake
Martin Cloake is a writer and editor who lives in London, UK. A Spurs season ticket holder, he has followed the team since 1970, travelling all over the UK and Europe to support them.
He is the author of a number of successful books about the club. With co-author Adam Powley and designer Doug Cheeseman, he wrote the official souvenir books 61: The Spurs Double and The Glory Glory Nights, a history of Spurs in Europe. 61: the Spurs Double was named Illustrated Sports Book of the Year in the British Sports Book Awards 2011. With Adam Powley, he wrote all four editions of the bestselling Spurs Miscellany, as well as the critically-acclaimed The Boys from White Hart Lane, which told the story of the Spurs team of the early 1980s in the players' own words. The pair also wrote the popular We Are Tottenham, which profiled the matchday crowd. Martin has also written The Pocket Book of Spurs, and a series of ebooks on key figures in Spurs history. His latest book, Sound of the crowd, is a look at changing fan culture in England with an emphasis on Spurs supporters. He is a regular contributor to Spurs fansites and podcasts.
